Photographing
Kids adds a little adventure to a photographer's day. Like every adventure
it is impossible to know what to expect. Our "little friend" may
want to be the most cooperative model or (in most cases) he or she will just
be a kid and continue with his or her fun approach to life, even during a
photo session! Years of experience has taught me to respect each child's individuality
and to work on making him or her feel comfortable. Depending upon the age
of the child, time is often a large factor regarding the shoot. If we are
given a few cooperative minutes (yes, it can actually happen!) we work to
make the best of them. We do not have a standard picture we must obtain from
the session and we don't have a time limit to work on. My main commitment
is to respect the child's personality and to bring onto film some of the unique
emotions they express.
